For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Food Ministry

Food Pantry Ministry

I was hungry…… Hard times, has no prejudices. In today’s economy you don’t have to look far to find someone who is in need of finding their next meal, or simply a bite to eat. Our mission at Diane Ave Church of Christ is to assist those within the community of Pittsburg by providing food programs that one may find useful when facing uncertainties. Our goal is to provide food for the physical body as well as the spiritual body to maintain a balanced well being.

The food pantry ministry consists of the following:

  • Emergency bag of grocery that is available upon request anytime by contacting any member of the church.

  • Brown Bag Giveaway program in which you will receive 1 bag of healthy groceries (until we run out of food). Held on the 3rd Friday of each month, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.

  • Summer Food Service program which provides healthy meals to children up to age 18, and Handicapped adults which is sponsored by PITTSBURG UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT.
